Sing, dance and cause a little bit of playful mischief with Whistle and Trick.
These childhood friends, Esther and Maddy, will perform a fun, energetic, interactive live show for the little folk at Spring Jam.
As big kids themselves, Whistle and Trick, love to explore all the wonderful and wacky things in life. Their live show is inspired by thoughtfulness and live instrumentation and full of imagination and zany characters – get ready for special appearances by Frank the Monster and Melindu the Emu.
Whistle and Trick are joined on stage by a full band and will play tracks off their debut album, including ‘Bananas and Other Delicious Things’ (released by ABC Music in June 2023).
Whistle and Trick are so excited to share the inner workings of their wild musical brains, with a bit of sparkle and cheekiness thrown in.
Join the colourful characters of The Vegetable Plot as they serve up a bumper crop of catchy tunes, sweet harmonies, dance moves, jokes and truly rotten puns.
This 'soil'ful bunch will plant seeds of inspiration in your hearts that will blossom for years to come.
The Vegetable Plot music is earthy, rootsy, organic and layered, offering plenty of funky goodness for parents to sink their teeth into while the little ones are shaking their stems on the dance floor.
Come and join Aspara Gus, Ru Barb and Sir Paul McCarrotney as they show you why people all over the world are joining their joyful conspiracy.
As well as a Main Stage performance, The Vegetable Plot will also host a special musical workshop where kids use their imagination to write their very own song lyrics. Workshop is free to attend and runs for 60 minutes. Recommend ages: five to nine years.

A totally rubbish performance you won’t forget!
Junkyard Beats are bringing their captivating, high-energy roving performance to Wagga Wagga’s Spring Jam festival this year.
With their dynamic blend of percussion, dancing, comedy and creative recycling, the Junkyard Beats crew deliver a unique and mesmerising experience for audiences of all ages. Driven by their passion for sustainability and creativity, Junkyard Beats has mastered the art of transforming everyday objects into extraordinary musical instruments. They create an exhilarating soundscape that defies convention. They are an eco-friendly revolution.
This one-of-a-kind performance is guaranteed to leave a lasting impact, creating unforgettable memories for everyone involved. Get ready to embark on a rhythmic journey like no other.
The team from Junkyard Beats will also be holding a special workshop at Spring Jam where kids can use their imagination to make their own musical instrument made from recycled junk.
The Junkyard Beats workshop will be held in the Mini Maker's Yard at 11am and 1.30pm. Running time 50 minutes. Recommended for five to nine year olds. Free to attend.
Keep an eye out for these beautiful, life-like creatures as they meander through the Spring Jam festival space.
You won’t be able to miss Gemma the Giraffe. This enchanting gentle giant stands five metres tall – as tall as a real giraffe! She will move gracefully through the crowd and even walk right over big and little people below.
Joining Gemma is the magnificent Eesha Elephant and her zookeeper. The same size as an Asian Forest Elephant, Eesha offers up-close meet and greets and pats and is so life-like you could be forgiven she is a real elephant.
Larger-than-life florals
Watch as these beautiful blooms come to life. Surrounded by the real florals in the Wagga Wagga Botanic Gardens, these Long Stems will move through the Spring Jam crowds, engulfing festival-goers with their dramatic giant fuchsias.
When in full bloom and regalia, the Long Stems are spectacularly enchanting. Wild flowers at heart, the Long Stems’ captivate audiences with their playful encounters.

Whether its feathered, fluffy or scaly – chances are you will see it inside the Wagga Wagga Botanic Gardens Zoo + Aviary.
The ever-popular zoo and aviary will be open for Spring Jam. Whether its walking with a peacock, spying a playful dingo pup or experiencing the wonder of the free-flight aviary – this is one space not to miss.
Some of the resident animals will also make special guest appearances in the Spring Jam festival grounds with our zoo keepers throughout the day. This is the perfect way to get up close and even touch some of the animals.
The friendly keepers will also be on hand to answer any cute or quirky questions about the animals that call the zoo home.
Animal meet and greets, roving through the festival ground, will take place at 10.30am, 12pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm.
Games garden
Test your skill and have some fun on these over-sized games. Pick from giant soccer pool, giant chess, cornhole, horse racing and more.
Play against mum, dad or your siblings, or make a team and challenge your friends.
You can also make a masterpiece on the giant chalkboard.
Pick a book and a shady spot under a tree and enjoy a quiet reading session.
The Agile Library will park up in the Games Garden for Spring Jam. Offering a great selection of children's books and novels for kids of all ages.
Read a favourite or discover new titles and book characters.
Get hands on and make your own jigsaw masterpiece.
Using Aboriginal art symbols, children will create their own jigsaw art, which also doubles as a fun puzzle to play.
Delivered by Ashleigh Pengelly of Wagga Wagga’s Little Black Duck. Ashleigh has proudly created a brand that spreads love, colour and awareness of her Aboriginal culture and heritage.
Give the gift of something handmade.
Using delicate, hand-pressed florals and bespoke cards, littlies can get hands on making their own celebration cards.
The beautiful, handmade cards can then be gifted to loved ones for a birthday, Christmas or other special occasion. What says 'I love you' more than something handmade by little hands.
This beautiful workshop is delivered by Ash Higginson and her team from With Love Bespoke Styling of Wagga Wagga.
A day with the clowns! Come on down and enjoy a short, silly performance of two clowns playing games and tricks on each other. Plenty of fun and laughs for the little and big kids. The show runs for 30 minutes

Also join the Freeroam crew for two special workshops where you can learn how to be confident on the stage and make characters - all delivered in a fun and creative way. Workshop running time, 50 minutes.
